Peter Hindle

From the age of five I could identify any car on the road from its headlights. My first car was a Citroen 2CV – but no ordinary one. A bright yellow limited edition 007 For Your Eyes Only version complete with bullet holes and 007 livery. After a couple of years working on oil rigs in Angola I came back and went out to buy a TR5 and came back with a V12 E Type. Sadly that had to go after a job change and it was hot hatches – 104ZS, 205 GTI, XR2i, Corrado, before company car scheme rules bit. More recently I’ve had a succession of big Audi’s culminating with the RS6 Avant. Currently driving a Jaguar F-Type R.

My love had always been rally – fuelled by marshalling on the Lombard RAC rally in Kielder Forest in ’78 and ’79. That changed after I took a racing course with the Jim Russell school at Donington Park which well and truly converted me to the track. After a few races I called time due to lack of budget/talent and have only recently got back to doing the odd track day.

I live in North Essex and work all over the UK as an Interim IT Director.
